Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Are they friendly? Will I hear the truth of God’s Word.

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing.

Our Worship Services are totally based around the Word of God with inspiring preaching and thought-provoking, challenging and engaging messages.  We start with a time of praise and worship as we feel this helps to take our focus off ourselves and onto God, to prepare us for the Word.  We also spend time round the Lords Table (Communion) each Sunday morning during our service to reflect on what the Lord has done for us on the cross. We remember Him through partaking in the bread, symbolising His broken body on the cross, and a cup of red juice symbolising His shed blood.

Our Sunday evening service is similar format with praise and worship at the beginning, before the preaching of the Word.  We do, on occasions, have special singers or people sharing their testimonies at our evening service.

Everyone is welcome.

What to expect when you come to our church

  • Who will I meet?

The people in church are ordinary folk from the community and further afield. They come to church to learn more about God, to enjoy the worship, the friendship of other people and to help and support each other.

  • What will happen when I come?

When you arrive there will be someone to welcome you, help you to find your way around and get a seat.

  • Singing

When the meeting begins we will sing some songs together. Feel free to sit or stand during this time. This is called ‘worship.’ Words are shown on the screen at the front so you can join in if you wish.

  • Listening

You will hear a message / sermon when someone teaches from the Bible. Sometimes we also hear from God as He inspires members of the congregation to give us encouragement and direction for our lives.

  • Talking to God

You will hear people praying. Prayer is talking to God. You can close your eyes if you want to, but no one will mind if you just want to sit and listen.

  • How long do the meetings last?

Sunday morning the meeting is from 11am – 12.30pm
Sunday night it can vary 6.30pm to around 8/8.30pm

  • What will be expected of me?

Absolutely nothing, just relax, enjoy the meeting and enter in if you wish to do so.

  • Do I have to give money?

No! The money we give to church is to help pay for bills and maintain the building. You are not expected to give money as a visitor so there is no pressure to do so.

  • What should I wear?

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You will find some will wear casual clothes ie jeans and shirt, others will dress up in their Sunday best. Nobody will judge you on what you’re wearing.

  • What if I have questions?

If you hear or see anything in our meetings that you would like to know more about, please feel to ask our Pastor or any of the leadership team. They will be happy to chat with you and help you with any questions you have.
